Arts and culture events near Parksville

Treat yourself to a memorable night out! There are lots of entertaining shows and events near Parksville this winter to keep you feeling warm and bright long after the holidays. Check out some of our suggestions for performing arts shows to see near Parksville this February:
From February 15th to March 4th, ECHO Players presents Hay Fever, a play by the legendary Noel Coward. This hilarious play centres around the Bliss family, which includes a retired actress mother, a novelist father, and two mischievous, dramatic children. When the family welcomes weekend guests, antics abound - and the audience is in for a night of wit, laughter, and delight. Tickets are just $12 for students, $18 for seniors, and $21 for adults. Shows are performed at the Village Theatre in Qualicum Beach, less than a 15 minute drive away from Quality Resort Bayside.
Storytelling is an art form that is largely being forgotten in modern days, or dismissed as being only for children. In fact, storytelling is an inspiring, emotional, and transformative experience that holds value for people of all ages. Tales for the Telling features storytelling for adults in Parksville, and on Friday, February 23rd the group will be welcoming Mariella Bertelli, an outstanding storyteller from Toronto. Bertelli will be presenting a “family saga that unravels the lives of a woman and a man, continents apart but united by fate”. Tickets are $18 and the event begins at 7 pm at the McMillan Arts Centre, less than a 15 minute walk away from Quality Resort Bayside.
In Parksville, we are lucky to be part of a community that is so creative and diverse. There are always lots of cultural events and performing arts shows to check out at any time of year, whether it’s a big theatrical production or an intimate live music session at a cafe. Our friendly staff is always happy to suggest things to do and see near our hotel - just come by and ask!
